Matt Russell was one of the first bloggers and scientists to start following Dinner Table Science, and I’m very excited to have him featured here. Matt is a recent Ph.D. graduate in Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Tennessee. He now works as a science writer. One personal mission of his is to make science and scientific advances more mainstream so many in the public are not intimidated and can make better sense of the world around them. He says that he’s very lucky that his job includes promoting science to every facet of the public all the way to the White House. His inspiration for this mission is his four year old daughter. He sees the scientist in her, and making sure that curiosity is encouraged is job one. If you want to read or subscribe to Matt’s blog (I do!) click here!
